I really, really hate Winter. I honestly think that I have a mild case of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). I don’t even like Christmas that much – all the anticipation and over eating leaves me entering January feeling a little less than 100%.
As I may have mentioned more than once or twice before, I literally adore going away. As soon as I know a Bank Holiday weekend is coming up or that I have a few days off, I look to see where I can go. I’m gradually working my way around the cities of Europe, but last week the beauty of England beckoned, and Ana and I went to the Dorset/Somerset border for 2 nights.
In my last post I was lamenting my disappointment with Hawker House. However, luckily Dalston is chocka-block full of great places to fuel up and chow down at. We left Hawker house and disappeared gratefully into the warm embrace of Cafe Route.
In line with my recent drive to eat more healthily, I’ve been looking for ways to still indulge in sweet treats but without falling off the health eating bandwagon too dramatically. Continue reading
