I’m trying to eat more healthily at the moment. It’s not a drastic change in diet and banning myself from my favourite foods, but more increasing the proportion of meals I eat which would be counted as ‘healthy’ whilst still eating everything else in moderation the rest of the time.
As I may have mentioned, once or twice before, I am a huge fan of Chatsworth Road. Full of independent cafes, restaurants and curiosity shops, it’s the perfect place to while away a few hours on a Sunday morning.
When you’re only spending three days in a country but are intending on visiting three different cities, it’s safe to say that you need to get your skates on and cram in as much as possible.

Bruges is famous for many things: stunning architecture, cobbled streets, canals and chocolate. Taking all of this into consideration the first thing M and I did on arrival was hunt out a cosy teashop and order what turned out to be (probably) the world’s best hot chocolate.
Just before Christmas, M and I snuck off for a cheeky three day break in Belgium to take in the delights of Bruges, Brussels and Antwerp. We decided to stay in Brussels as it was an easy distance to the other two cities and had richer Airbnb pickings. In retrospect, it was probably worth spending more and staying in Bruges – a simply stunning town. Brussels, although enjoyable, was a little more rough around the edges…
